In July 2023, the first edition of the International Jazz Festival "fill in" took place in the Franco-German Garden in Saarbrücken. International stars such as Kenny Garrett, Dorantes and John Scofield as well as talented musicians from neighbouring France and Luxembourg took to the stage. On the days leading up to the event, young musicians from the Saar University of Music (HfM Saar) performed free of charge in Saarbrücken city centre to get people in the mood.
